Release your inner swordsman with Sabertron

Gone are the days of play fighting with outdated sticks and cardboard tubes, the day has come to update your sword skills with the Sabertron.

How it works: It’s like laser tag but with swords. With Sabertron, swordsmen and swordswomen are able to have sword fights with swords that keep score electronically, without any additional equipment. Sword-to-sword hits don’t decrement health, only hits to the body of the opponent results in a loss of health.

Light strips in the handle of the sword represent the player’s health, while each sword strike to the body decrements health.

Dress up as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vadar and decide the fate of the galaxy, or recreate one of the epic battles from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Which ever you choose, you’re sure to have fun with this great bit of gadgetry.

The Sabertron is currently available on Kickstarter with an early bird price tag of $99.00 for two apprentice swords, at the time of writing they have already surpassed their $50,000 goal with 18 days to go.

For further information visit the Sabertron’s website or back the project on Kickstarter.

Oh and in case you were worrying about how safe it is – it has been rigorously tested by a team of experts to ensure it meets health and safety regulations –
